Worked on relaxing and paying attention, even with two or three other horses in the arena. It was hard for her, but she got through it and figured out she needs to pay attention and do what is asked of her. We worked on transitions, promptness, steady gaits, paying attention and halt/STANDING

Izzy

fit a harness to her and started getting her used to nose pressure (before bit) and also getting used to the lines and things dragging behind and beside her. Also getting her used to the breeching and breast collar. At first she was less than thrilled, she bucked and scooted along, but she quickly settled down and went back to what she was taught. We worked on paying attention with all this extra stuff touching her and following her, also worked on transitions and starting working on turning left and right off of nose pressure and rein pressure.

Hardy

Headed down to Witchita to drive Hardy at the 2010 Kansas Equifest.  A mare in heat and another stallion in the arena was a tough call for his first show but he did very well.

Jada and Arlene waiting to go into the Arena

Plus as we were part of the Connemara delegation we got to see some fine Irish Music
